EMOTIONS...A WEAKNESS?
The brain gives the logic, the rationale behind a deal
But what pushes it a step further? It’s your heart…. that gut feel
The excitement of accomplishing, the fear of loss
The happy tears or a tragic pause
If it weren’t for feelings, what would a being mean?
An intelligent automated programmed machine
You feed the data, you fix the holes
You put the effort and aim for goals
WHAT IS the difference between a machine and LIFE
We sense, we feel, we are ALIVE!
Something beyond a man’s creation
A blend of science and spiritual elevation
Some call it weakness that shadows your mind
Some, a distraction….a waste of time
I feel it is a strength of you recognize it well
Could turn into weakness if you over dwell
The brain shouldn’t rule and neither should heart
The ability to seesaw is what sets us apart
Our brain is the engine, your heart a fuel tank
You need the fuel for the engine to crank
Our brain evolves while learning by itself
But it can barely do much, if the heart pumps it all to itself!
So it’s not weak to feel what you feel, it’s not unreasonable in any ordeal
What matters is empowering this gift we have into something exceptional and ideal.
About this poem
Often emotions are seen as a weakness . It usually is assummed to obstruct the logical path but a I strongly believe that emotions make us a human and gives us the potential to reach the unreachable. A machine can only reach an end point that is programmed into it. A human can do much more! the passion, the excitement, determination could all drive to endless results!
