A way
Jason Marriner 1980 (Pensacola)
Everything in life can't be simple I know
The hardest days are there to help you grow
When that voice starts whispering in your ear
It does its best to keep you living in fear
But you can't listen to anything it has to say
Just believe what lies ahead is a better day
It's a constant struggle within my own mind
To put my fears to rest and leave the past behind
Relinquish all doubts that I carry
When the road ahead seems so dark and scary
Now I don't think I can go on without a little light
Guiding me down this path and into that good night
So many stars used to shine down upon my soul
But clouds have come, now my world has turned cold
I once thought great things were meant for me
From this darkness I was destined to be free
Now I'm learning how little I really know
And I'm hitting walls everywhere I go
Pounding my heart on the stone again and again
I can only hope one day this tragedy might end
I'll find my way back into the light once more
Because it keeps getting harder to pick myself up off the floor
Until then, I'll just keep telling myself it's all gonna be okay
No matter what happens, love will find a way
A way to save me from this path I'm headed down
A way to help me keep my head above ground
A way from what I always thought was meant to be
A way to a better life where she's always here with me
