The loss of the nonexistent choice

Caroline Luett 2007 (Iowa)

I want him
But I don't want him to choose
Because if he picks me
He'll put pity on you
And if he picks you
Then pitty on me
Because I made him believe
That it was either you or me
In the long run, I knew I would lose
But I self destruct Just like I always do
So it would be my fault I lost him
And not his because I made him choose
