Start again

One bad day...

Horrible at the beginning

Someone made me feel special

And everything felt better

Though I have to ask

Albeit a rhetorical question

Why does life get so difficult?

Torrents of emotions and unsaid words

Drowning out my sense of self

Things that once seemed bright

Now duller than dying flames

Food loses taste, atmosphere looks bleak

Feels like my life force being pulled out from me

But then I close my eyes and think

Of little things that keep me going

The deadweight feeling shall pass

Somehow I manage to pull through

And start again.

About this poem

The poem was written by me when I was at one of my lowest points. It Expresses the overwhelming feeling of failure, when things don't seem to go our way. And it gives hope in the end. That there's always something good to remember, to look forward to.
