The Driver
Cold steel screaming down the highway,
trailing white hot fire behind.
Baby I'm looking for the freeway,
while I've still got time.
Soft flesh on the steering wheel,
I've got that speedway feel.
I know this thing don't stop on no dime,
ain't no windshield grime,
Telephone poles are whizzing by,
Hidden by the jet black sky.
By headlights they are allumed,
speed in access of a hundred assumed,
Watching out for crossroads,
cause I'm flying low.
I just can't decide where to go.
I just don't know,
what the next second abodes.
