The Spirit of Christmas
‘The Spirit of Christmas
By Nelda Eichelbarger 2022
‘Twas the Spirit of Christmas and all through the house, the Advent was happening…our adrenaline was ‘roused!
Everyone was preparing with great anticipation for all the family’s gatherings and festive celebrations!
With all the hustle and bustle & holiday cheer,
The birthday of Jesus was soon to be here!
When the Red Bird of Christmas amongst us does fly The Spirit of Christmas is quick to draw nigh!
For when Cardinals appear we know angels are near And when angels are near St. Nick, too, will soon be here!
St. Nick and the Christ Child have spirits of the same; Both bring glad tidings of great joy to our dream! So with Angels all about us, my heart beats with such glee because the season upon us means so much to both you and me!
Soon the season will quickly come to a halt but the joys of this joyous season just won’t soon be forgot!
Our hearts full of memories of moments we’ll hold dear…the Red Bird of Christmas will remind us that Angels are near!
So hold tight to the feelings of joy this season brought dear and May the Spirit of Christmas Continue….and May it last All Year!
