TURNING POINT

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

These tears are again falling from my eyes, tears of pain and joy. at last, I reached that turning point the fork in the road. once again I met the devil when I thought it was at last closing time. along you came and no one throughout all my life has given me the reasons to rhyme.

I am breaking out in a fever and thinking that all of this can be my best friend if only I believed this moment is my reality and not my many dreams of playing dress-up and opening my eyes still playing pretend.

How many roads did we travel and how many times did we cross each other's paths without knowing? I can whistle us that song that will take us home and on angels wings, we will never fly alone.

This gypsy soul of mine has reached its turning point where I can no longer be that rebel on the run riding off into the sunset. I want to create new memories to replace the ones I know I should forget without regret.

This is my turning point, my crossroads for I have found redemption in both of our eyes, and with growing years on my head I saw the arms which hold love and peace and a home where I can take my final bow and die, this is the marker, this is my turning point
