The Memories We Made That Summer Day

Celebrating a Happy Memory:

In the summer breeze, we danced with glee
Laughing without a care, feeling free
The sun shining bright, a day so warm
Memories of joy that will never be torn

We ran through the fields, arms spread wide
Our hearts filled with love, our souls light
The world was ours, in that moment pure
Our spirits soared, our love secure

The memories we made that summer day
Will stay with me, forever to play
The laughter, the fun, the carefree bliss
A moment of joy, I will always miss

Exploring a Painful Memory:

The sky was gray, the air so cold
A memory that's aged, but never grown old
A moment of pain, etched in my mind
Leaves a scar, that's hard to unwind

The tears that fell, the heart that ached
A feeling so raw, that could never be faked
A loss so great, it tore me apart
Left me feeling empty, with a shattered heart

Time has passed, wounds have healed
But the memory lingers, like an open field
A reminder of the pain I once knew
That still haunts me, and still feels true

But through the pain, I've grown and learned
To cherish life, and every moment earned
To hold onto memories, both happy and sad
And to embrace life, whether good or bad
