Glory Days

Glory Days
By Nancy Rodriquez

We could have had some glory days,
and focused on being us,
trials come what may,
if you had believed in our love,
If your faith in me hadn't broken,
and if you had fought to see things through,
I would not feel like a lost token,
and our lives would be in full bloom,
We could have had it all,
our love would have been home,
you ran away and made the call,
and now, I have been left alone,
yes, I made mistakes too,
You will not give me a chance,
to correct these things with you,
and we can live out our romance,
still having glory days.
