Still aching

Tristen 2002 (United States)

A piercing pain deep inside.
Reminding me, of a time.
Always reverberating, throughout my mind.
Alike a heart, deep within.
Always coursing, throughout my thoughts.
A heart of regret, of what could have been.

I said goodbye, and left as far as I could.
But far I did not go. I cannot leave as much as I want too, so I suffer in uncomfort.

I felt replaced, when we last talked,
All sweet words I used to utter.
They're now whispered by another.
Your my dearest friend, and my deepest pain.
It's still complex, my feelings for you.
But I've progressed, since last I reminisced, my hearts moved forward, but it's still aching.
