The Hound of Nightmares

One dingy night in the forest I stayed

Where the bushes had always gently swayed

I set up my fire and it moved with no efface

My camp was the star in the void of space,

I got in my tent to retire for the night

My camp was covered with a light so bright

I then heard someone lightly breathe

Which was followed by a heavy heave,

With aplomb I went to peruse

Then I thought it may be a ruse

So I walked ahead

And loudly said:

"I am in the deep slumber sea

So do go and don't cumber me."

Then I surely stood with a stand so tenacious

Then from the woods came a hound so voracious

A hound with eyes having a red hue

As I stood with fear, my terror grew,

The hound howled like a drunk

The beast had crippled my spunk

Then I ran with the speed of Hermes

With my speed, I escaped the tall trees

About this poem

It is about a nightmare I had about a hound which chased me with flaming eyes so I wrote a poem about it and called the hound 'The Hound of Nightmares' The poem sees my perspective
