The Stranger

I open up my mind,
And never left before,
Hoping for the day to pass,
Not being harass,
Propping up my feet,
Never going to compete,
Doing my morning routine,
Not paying attention to my computer screen,
I got an email from my co- worker,
Some guy tried to choke her,
I had her come over and tell me what happened,
We call the police and they found the guy right away,
They took him in,
With blood on his skin,
They made him into somebody,
He cried all day,
He acted tough but he's weak,
He tried to convince the police,
But this isn't the first time,
And the police took his last dime,
They asked him questions,
He failed all the questions,
They threw the book at him,
We celebrated with relief,
We followed our beliefs...

I grew up in a poor enviroment with no money. And been struggling for years to get my poetry going and read by a lot of people. I didn't know how to to go get my poetry read.
