The Whisper

Once upon a time,
A little girl wished upon a star,
That one day she would be loved,
Like the girls in the movies,
That her true Prince Charming,
Would come in and sweep her off her feet,
Her whole life into her young adulthood,
It never happened,
Instead, she was falling for demons,
One by one,
They hurt her,
Abused her,
Traumatized her,
And hurt her in unimaginable ways,
She cried, and cried,
Prayed to all the gods and goddesses,
To save her,
And yet it was as if they abandoned her,
Left her behind to suffer in sorrow,
Alone,
Afraid,
And beaten, barely holding her own heart together,
But strong enough to keep holding on,
Gluing herself back together,
Day by day,
Night after night,
But never letting go of her faith,
Never letting the evil win,
Not letting the darkness turn her heart cold,
Remaining humble and faithful,
Still getting on her knees and praying,
Still putting on a smile,
While hiding the bruises and brokenness of her heart,
Filling her own heart with hope and love,
Finding joy and happiness in helping others,
While still hiding her truth from the world,
When one day a voice whispered to her,
“ it’s time to go,”
And she packed what little she had,
And finally said “ enough is enough,”
Never being on her own since a teen,
She was frightened, but knew that there was an angel or being with her,
So she carried on, and became stronger than ever.
A year went by, and she went from victim to warrior,
Stronger and stronger as the days passed,
Not looking for love,
But, still praying to the gods for her one true love.
Then, one faithful day, a message came in,
Being unsure, and remembering all her past pain,
She was precautious about this mysterious man,
Behind the screen,
But, she took a chance,
Because that whisper came back, and it told her to “ take a chance,”
So she did,
She started talking with this man,
Day after day,
Night after night,
He was so different than the others,
It was like looking and talking to her reflection,
She couldn’t get him off her mind,
Day and night, they spoke all day long,
She dreamed of him,
She fell in love with him,
HARD,
They hadn’t even met,
But she already couldn’t imagine her life without him,
He was perfect,
What is this her dream man, She always prayed for?
So she took a trip,
Across country,
Taking one final chance on love,
With butterflies in her stomach, and a glued together heart,
She got on a plane to meet the man of her dreams,
As the plane landed, and she got closer to finally touching him,
Her heart started beating fast and slow at the same time,
And that whisper came back and told her, “Take a deep breathe, this is what you’ve been waiting for,”
So she did just that,
Walking through the airport,
Now she’s impatient and excited,
She took one look at him and ran into his arms,
His arms wrapped around her, felt like Heaven on Earth,
In that moment,
In that very instant,
She knew he was the one,
She felt it running through her body,
The magnetic and spiritual energy from her head to her toes,
She heard the whisper again,
This time it’s said, “ welcome home,”
He was so perfect in every way,
And when he looked into her eyes,
She knew he was the one,
He was so special and looked at her like she was everything to him,
Immediately they fell in love,
Head over heels for each other,
This was the man of her dreams,
Her Prince Charming,
Her happy ever after,
Finally, she was in her very own fairytale,
From that moment forward, she never left his side,
He became her savior, protector, healer, guardian, angel, soulmate, lover, hero, and most of all her best friend,
Not once did he raise a hand to her,
Nor call her a name,
Not once did he speak harm to her,
He truly loved her,
In every way,
Without him knowing,
He healed her,
He was everything she had ever hoped for, and more,
All the pain from the past slowly disappeared,
All the glue from her broken pieces of her heart, disappeared,
And her heart became whole,
Except now she had two,
He was such a beautiful man,
With a kind, heart and soul,
He showed her what love truly felt like,
She wasn’t the princess from her dreams,
He made her a Queen,
And he became her King,
Still to this day their love has never stopped growing,
Their bond gets stronger by the day,
Neither of them have felt a love so strong,
So unbreakable,
So untouchable,
A real, true, admirable love,
One that will never stop growing,
And that whisper still to this day,
Whispers in my ear, “Oh, how much I love this man, for he has changed my life forever,”
He has made me a better woman,
A stronger woman,
And that whisper told me that we have a soul bond,
He was meant for me,
As I was meant for him,
And we have been in love for many lifetimes before,
Our spiritual connection is infinite,
He is mine,
And I am his,
Forever and ever, Amen.
