Seize
Certain things, certain times,
Seem hard, no nightfall
in this desert world.
When it does, swirling circle of this life,
sunset to the moonfall, recurring winds,
again and again, night and day.
The moment comes, and then it floats away,
again and again, unsaid words fade away.
Hoping for another day, hoping for another way,
only its harder this way.
Tomorrow becomes a daily friend, our reply.
“Tomorrow, I’ll do it” says one to thyself,
its the time of our judgement, the time is neigh.
To reach the life you pray for,
to feel that love you bray for.
to fill your heart with heat from a warm hearth,
all it takes is saying,
to take the chance, seize the moment
to push past not knowing
and all it takes is shallow pain,
that fades away faster
than steam on a summers day.
