The curse of a brokenheart

I never felt such a way awhile back than, There was a time I felt comfortable in my own skin, I smiled , I laughed alot but deep inside I was torn apart, The first few years ago is when some more trauma  would start, You ever felt abandon from a man who was suppoes to hold your hand as you grow,  A man who was suppoes to have your back when people in the world would treat you so cold, My  father broke me deep  in my soul, But I hide all my pain

It's really hard  to let go, I never felt he had my back , I never felt the love he says he has, I learned him and studied him all his different ways, I never knew how openly to say I love you Dad out loud to his face, A bond we never really shared, There were times I wish he was there, A father daughter realtionship is important for every girl , some would want to marry a man with characteristic like there father, I always chose the wrong men, As if  they ever really chose me, blaming my father for not being there when a girl really need protection with my heart, that's what a girl needs especially when woman hood would peak.
