Men Come With Gifts

Aye the dandy foolish gent
Before me in well tailored suit
"Come with me for I am rich
Don't hesitate or I might leave
Entrust your heart into my care
For I'm the most handsome of men
Gallant in wealth and full of strength"
He spoke with so much pride
I couldn't help but spill my share
" Joining such a man as you would
Kill my pride and reap my joy
Leave me with my heart and lack for
Men like you are empty tins
Noisy with what you can give
Other than your looks and wealth
Please! What else have you to show?
Quasi-helpmeet fly away.
Run to those far distant lands,
Stick to those impoverished maids
To those who love fine moulded clay.
Unless you have a heart of love, when your wealth
Vanish and your great build wrinkles, tell me,
What then shall I do with you?"

About this poem

This poem enlightens men to know that a prudent woman is not only attracted to what they can physically provide her with, but that she's drawn to a man of worthy character who is strong enough to care for her physical and emotional needs.
