Mirror Lake

Mirror lake
I am the mirror to all that gaze upon me. I reflect all that approach me. My still waters runs deep. A depth that can not be understood on first glance. As a mirror of your soul I reflect your image in its truest form..
Come to me as friend or come to me as foe please be warned my soul will know.
Wether it be by the light of the moon or the sunshine on a perfect day your reflection will always stay true to your soul.
Those who stay on the shore will blame the water for the reflection they see and turn away. Those who choose to dip their toes in the water realise that their perfect mirror image starts to disappear as the ripples in the water reflect the ripples in your soul. When the ripples are shown the perfect image is lost and the fear of the depth of my water is too hard to gaze upon any longer.
I will always seem beautiful to those who gaze upon me from afar.. those who come close and dip their toes in the water will understand the depth that exists beneath my surface.. albeit only briefly as the perfect reflection they came to see has been broken by their need to only test my waters.. and then they are gone. My rippled water returns to it’s stillness.
Those who overcome their fear and immerse themselves in mirror lake will experience darkness as never before.. the darkness of my depths will  force the light from inside themselves to grow and be the only light they require. From darkness into light you will never again require the sun or the moon to shine as the internal light you will possess will last forever. I am mirror lake, I am your perfect reflection, Only when the fear is overcome will you be free to swim in my waters. The darkness is calling you to become the light!
