My Addiction

My addiction arises from my disconnection.
Your always going to be the failure in every position.
Every job, relationship and choice I make is another wrong step I take. Expecting every good thing in this life to show you it's nothing more than a fucking lie.
I harbor these grudges and resent my resentment.
Which lead farther into the drugs, being content with out any love. Accepting in the end that your going to be wrong, I'm the bad guy so pass me the bong.
Success is for the righteous, but, the riches are more then the money and glamor.
We hold these values deep in our soul, but, I keep finding it so hard to take hold.
Seeking for the answers will we ever know, what we look for isn't always the right ones, but it doesn't mean theire wrong.
I just keep venting hoping to find the connection I can't grasp for long.
These meeting are meaningless unless I find meaning in this.
Another breath taken on these drags, that drag me through life, that keep taking another minute of my life. Always hoping and seeking for something as simple as a wife and family.
And these foot holes that, are deep enough to grip, another day, another word, another way.
I think of my failure.
I just ask to allow me the freedom of all this confliction.
Please get me away from this addiction.

My life came from a middle class family. Running in with some struggles at an early age, always fighting with an up hill battle. Which ultimately leads me to being in and out of prison to living in a sober living home and working on changing my life around with the support of positive people in my life. more…
