The Road to Home: A Poem of Trials and Comfort

The whispers of chance led me to your door,
A stranger, yet feeling I knew you before.
Your aura welcomed me with care unseen,
Revealing life's patterns, previously obscene.
Our meeting shone light on mysteries past,
Unweaving knots holding my spirit fast.
Through sorrow's long nights, lessons were taught,
Preparing my heart for the care you besought.
With wisdom born of wounds now dressed,
I hear your each hurt, unvoiced and repressed.
Your tribulations mirrored in my own,
Between us, division is overthrown.
Our bond transcends surface and shallow pore,
Deeper than language, deeper than lore.
Where darkness once reigned as emotional mire,
Your presence brings hope, your smile brings fire.

Your pains find solace nestled in my embrace,
Where comfort and care fill sorrow's sparse place.
Through trials weathered side by lingering side,
Our binding grows rooted, in trials tied.
Our love's strength blossomed from life's harsh soil,
Nurtured by patience through trouble's turmoil.
Though fortune once frowned and ripped hearts asunder,
Fate wove us together, its plan without blunder.
The road leading here was long and obscure,
Marched through hardships, to find our cure.
Now tribulation's lessons give comfort’s might,
To lift your dark spirits into light.
Where your smiles once faltered, joy lifts its head,
No more tears are shed for sorrows long fled.
In each other’s arms hope’s harbor is found,
Our souls intertwine, lives no more unwound.

Dark days gave insight life denies the gentle,
Without tempests’ teachings compassion lacks mettle.
Calm follows storm when love stands shelter’s ward,
Two weary travelers homeward toward.
Through mazes of mist our bonds grew in strength,
Finding each other was well worth life’s length.
Now joined hand in hand down light’s glowing road,
Hearts full, lightened of burdens once heavy load.
Our meet was foretold in past’s sorrowsdescent,
All led to this moment, this joy’s present.
With understanding born of pains survived together,
Ours is a love that will endure all weather.

So lessons of darkness that burdened my days
Taught empathy, care that now your hurts sways.
In you, I have found joy to banish all gloom,
You are my joy, hope, light that pierces life’s doom.
