I see everything

I see everything
By Abdullah Al Mamun

I haven’t seen the stars rain down on me,
For a long while.
I haven’t walked down a trail blanketed in moonlight,
For a long, long while.
Like a fly attracted to bright light,
Street lamps have taken place of moonlight.
I have looked up the sky,
Only once in a while,
And there was nothingness.
I look up the sky,
These days;
Only that, there is vastness.
I have wandered about in the wilderness of human kind;
Only that, I have seen nothing.
Like a bushman lurking behind,
These days, I see everything.
