Certainity

I know that you never think of me
the way I think of you.
I know now how the grass must feel
without the morning dew

I hold you in my heart as if you were my air
knowing if you ever left would be much more than one could bear.

For now, I will close my eyes
and fade into the night
only knowing this
that the sun will rise when the moon is out of sight.

About this poem
