Rape: The Evil We Must Erase

The dark shadow of the night
Engulfs her in its embrace so tight
With a sense of dread, she walks alone
Fear and uncertainty, she cannot disown
Her heart races, as footsteps draw near
She prays for safety, but her mind is unclear
She tries to run, but she's not fast enough
The predator pounces, and she's in his clutch
He violates her body, her soul, and her mind
He's not a man but a monster, so unkind
He shatters her dreams and hopes for life
She's left with scars, pain, and strife
But she's not alone, there are others like her
Victims of rape, who silently suffer
They need our support, our love, our care
They need a voice, to make the world fair
Rape is a crime, that shatters the soul
It leaves a scar, that's impossible to control
It haunts the victim, every moment, every day
It takes away her life, her freedom, her way
But we can make a difference, we can make a change
We can stand up against, this evil so strange
We can educate, we can empower, we can raise
Our voice against, the perpetrators of this heinous phase
Let's create a world, where no one is afraid
Let's build a community, where love and respect are displayed
Let's show the victims, that they are not alone
Let's fight against rape, and make it known
We'll not rest, until the world is free
Of the scourge of rape, of the inhumanity
We'll not stop, until justice is served
For the victims of rape, who've been hurt
We'll be their voice, their strength, their hope
We'll be their support, their love, their scope
We'll be the change, that they want to see
We'll be the light, in their darkness, their key
Rape: The evil we must erase
Let's stand together, let's face
This challenge, with courage, with might
Let's make the world, a safer and a brighter sight.

About this poem

It is a poem about rape, a heinous crime which destroys a girl's life and her soul. The sad part is they get only a damn candle march!! There are soo many rapists roaming freely.. This needs to stop and the least we can do is atleast support those victims!! Be there support, help them and dont make them feel like it was their fault because it was not!!!!!!!
