The Deal
He dresses up,
Like it’s worth celebrating.
A deal with said Devil,
Is Worth putting the effort—
In fucking breaking.
If only I had better judgement,
From the beginning—
I wouldn’t have been fooled,
By the disguise he was faking.
Fooled me once.
Fool me twice!
I bet the Devil—
Wishfully thinking.
Please just this once!
Let me beat you in your scheme-making.
I swear I thought I’d already paid the price,
For my partake in the sinning.
I see now—
There were flaws in my thinking.
A sinner gets no easy way out,
Nor a life that’s full of peace and no doubt.
Same good life all Sinners dream of—
As they pout all the way down,
Into their new internal hell.
A life once of endless possibilities,
Can be of no more—
Forever pain and suffering consumes you,
Asking for seconds, until they’re full to their core—
It’s one of the Devil’s many specialities,
What made you think—
You’d get away without even scrutiny?
For gambling your life,
Like all the other poor weaklings.
Oh! You didn’t know?
That your not any better—
Than the ones you shame,
While publicly speaking.
Wake up, take the call!
Or at least a peaking,
In your new world of hell—
I’d suggest attending,
The introductory Meeting.
So, you’ll believe you’re prepared,
For the nightmare that’s creeping—
whether or not, your souls soundly sleeping.
That little Devil he is, never stops deceiving.
You dumb fool!
It’s a mirage—
Thought life was rebuilding,
A devilish act, the last hoorah—
Another knife to the heart,
Maybe this time, he had hit the mark.
All I can do is lie on this bed I spent making,
While my head was in the clouds,
Ignoring the heart it was breaking.
Because I couldn’t bare,
The risk I’d soon end up taking…
Let me be clear:
Stay as far away from the deal—
The Devil is making.
