LEAD ME ON LORD
Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)
LEAD ME ON LORD
Trapped in a glass jar
Dreams shudder from afar
My temple has fallen
And my Lord is callin'
The winds of destruction whirl
The whole world starts to twirl
Pride's crashing broke me all apart
And now my journey will start
So lead on, Lord, come lead me on
Lead me on, here comes the dawn
I will follow where ever you lead
Chains break, the captives are freed
At my lowest point, You came to lift
When I couldn't pay, You gave the gift
Judgment came, justice was due
But the price, Lord it fell on You
All is gone in shattered ruins I stand
Then I'm lifted in my Lord's hand
Wind and rain,smoke and Fire
Lord I'll lift Your name ever higher
So lead on, Lord, come lead me on
Lead me on, here comes the dawn
I will follow where ever You lead
Chains break, the captives are freed
In a foxhole, shells hit the ground
Shots and shouts, blood all around
Bullets fill the air, and echo in the night
Lord guide me and protect me in the fight
I'm locked in a cell, You called my name
The pale walls , Lord it's all the same
I can't go, I'm stuck right here
But I'll rise up, the way is clear
So lead on, Lord, come lead me on
Lead me on, here comes the dawn
I will follow where ever you lead
Chains break, the captives are freed
There's always a giant, we're called to slay
There's always a heartache, we're called to pray
There's always an enemy we're called to battle
And there's always a Prison we're called to rattle
I will stand. I will arise, stand up church arise
The victory is ours, and Jesus is our prize
In His slendor I'm called and I'm chosen
In fear of our calling the enemy is frozen
And we cry...
Lead me on, Lord, come lead me on
Lead me on, here comes the dawn
I will follow where ever you lead
Chains break, the captives are freed
AMEN
