THEY SAY/I SAY
THEY SAY/ I SAY
They say...
God is dead
Reason reigns Supreme
Something's left unsaid
Life is not a dream
Smoke from the Towers
Billows to the skies
The media flowers
Are selling us lies
But I ain't buying
I'm seeing clear
So many dying
What's happenin' here?
They say...
God is dead
Reason reigns supreme
Something's left unsaid
Life is not a dream
I see her start to run
Running through the night
Momma hits her son
Daddy starts a fight
The baby's crying
Parents turn away
What's the point in tryin'?
It's always been this way
They say...
God is dead
Reason reigns supreme
Something's left unsaid
Life is not a dream
I look into the night sky
At the stars above
Asking God, "Why?
Where's Your Love?"
He wipes a tear
From my face
"Son, I'm right here
With you in this place "
I say...
Look ahead
Reason rules a dream
Christ rose from the dead
And Jesus reigns supreme!
See the Man walking,
Stripes across His back
The soldiers are mocking
They press the attack
Cross is lifted high
And our sin fell down
The Son of Life had to die
That Life may abound
They say...
God is dead
Reason reigns supreme
Something's left unsaid
Life is not a dream
The Grave on the Third Day
See! He isn't there!
Stone is rolled away!
Answer to our prayer
They put Him in the Grave
Thinking it would end
But it was His Life He gave
He picked it up again
I say...
Look ahead!
Reason rules a dream
Christ rose from the dead
JESUS REIGNS SUPREME!
AMEN
