Gone Fishing in Heaven

Gone Fishing in Heaven
Ode to My Step father, Alton Roy Milton

You loved to fish, to pass the day,
Caught catfish, bass and sa-ca-lait.
Sittin’ on the bank thinking away,
Trying to find the words to say.

That was your off day,
Wanting God to give you pay.
And He did Today:
In Special Way.

In November, you graduated to the other Side.
Now you, in His presence abide.
Enjoy the boat ride.
No longer are you tired.

Still going fishing,
But catching not wishing
All an answer to your petition for remission
Noting missing
Finally Pops, You’ve Gone Fishing in Heaven!
