Free verse
You were a stranger.
A name. A face.
But feelings stirred
like honey-amber slow and flowing-
bringing puddling sweetness to our souls.
May we enjoy this fully, new friend,
as we lick our fingers clean
of these saccharine moments that God
has drizzled over us.
