Love in such a cruel world, it makes me helpless
Spiders on my notebook pages
Cold mornings in the new year
Can’t imagine how he feels about me
Wouldn’t know what I feel
A difficult concept, a hard pill to swallow
Drunken kisses, beautiful boys
Tear drops on my car seat
Blood stains on my dress
His soft lips pierced against mine
Reminds me of cardinals on leafless branches
Red hot love and his pink mouth
I hope he knows that if he doesn’t do it, somebody else will
Safe when he holds me
