The Sun
Dennis Floesler 1988 (Baltimore)
You wax and wane
Imprisoned by a cycle, ultimately your bane
Your labor, unremarked in an expanding sea
You rise and fall, like doddering trees
And much like the trees, you're slowly dying
Just like me.
