Life Is Too Short

Al I lay in my hospital bed,
My most feared nightmare I've always dread,
Has come to surface and must be said,
For now our life hangs by a thread.

We met a few short years ago,
Married 17 months ago,
We moved to start a new life for us to glow,
Each day my love does grow.

The stress has hit,
My stroke to us by surprise,
And knock us for a loop,
I realized, my love for you is so true.

Never do I want us to part,
We have to much life to live,
You are my inspiration,
My thread to live.

We got a second chance,
When I leave this hospital,
I will cherish every moment,
Every second will be heaven with you.

When I get angry or frustrated,
I will remember your face,
When the doctor said, she's had a stroke,
Then I will realize, why get angry, life's to short.
