My Dark Prince

I stare at the stars beautiful and bright,
I part with my dark prince tonight.
I tell him that we can't be,
He set my heart away and free.
Eyes wide open, a tear falls to the ground,
Like a scream without a sound.
He whispers softly in my ear,
"Please don't leave me now my dear.".
I want to run, but my heart keeps me there,
I know how much he must care.
I turn my head, I can't take the pain anymore,
I don't want to get hurt like I did before.
I dreaded this day that has now come,
In my life, I have not won.
