Philistines

They have disdain for culture. They are barbarian.
Just like a greedy vulture
they feast on carrion.
They have disdain for wisdom. They never read a book.
Just like a vapid dumdum
they leap before a look.
They have disdain for virtue. They are impertinent.
Just like a pointless curfew
they coin the impudent.
They have disdain for fine art. They never know a "work."
Just like a runaway cart
they simply go berserk.
They have disdain for fashion. They are oddly adorned.
Just like an inept passion
they end up fully scorned.
They have disdain for guidance. They never trek a trail.
Just like a lame avoidance
they find some way to fail.
