Sacred Scriptures Ad #2
Hello, I am a Moderator at RapBattles.com Username: Professor Frost
If you are a writer of lyrics or poetry or rap then come check out the Sacred Scriptures League at the above website address. This is the sort of content that we post in the league. Enjoy.
(This is referred to a "keystyle". When one types up literature without premature thought. This is just my random writing. Or is it? )
Poetry is Dead by Professor Frost
"Ignorance is Bliss...throw yo hands in the sky....
If you don't give a fu-"
I remember in high school...
I was standing, knees shaking, floor quaking -- nervous
Mind spanning, trees waving, door aching -- "turn this"
But I couldn't just walk on my life long dreams
My words of wisdom can stich up the seams-
Of life.
Yes, sometimes we feel broken,
Cut open, so sometimes poetry must be spoken
But it is dead, well fed with the same nonsense it bled
Everyone thinks it's cool blue, but instead its autopsy showed red
Venom lies within words...
...Disguised within verbs
Denied into crisp curbs,
& ugly truth blinds the readers it disturbs
Curved by the elegant pen,
With the ink in the wind
If convicts can wash away sin
Then this literature has a chance to win
If presidents can write a letter with a stamp,
That shoots into the airwaves like an amp
Then the illuminating silhouette of poetry is a camp
And each scoutmaster is buying a circuit short lamp
We are the difference makers, new innovaters
Yesterday's polluted air stares at today till it faces dissipators
A dissipator disrupts, debunks & deconstructs,
All clouds of ambiguity that shower away, like they're missing vapors
Now let's step back in slack & maybe retract
& Observe the metaphorical meaning & maybe see that-
Poetry was meant to decipher every code we crack
But now it's filled with imagery like a rogue Haiku ....
Ku...
What's this in the presence of a stanza? A phantom?
No, it's the depiction of today's poet "irregular anthem"
The heartbeat of poetry has no more soul to keep,
And its whole has seem to been reaped
Read this back a few times, analyze each line
Empower all your minds, till it may redefine-
What you find true poetry, in its essence
& maybe respect the thumbs that apes were blessed with
Take this analogy's psychology as a lesson
