Saved By Creation 2.0
I lay here with my eyes wide open.
I draw the blinds but the blinds aren't closing.
I'm so alone and cold that my toes are frozen over.
The drugs have gone and Time has just got slower.
Insomnia sets in and the dark side of the journey begins.
Demons plague your mind and remind you of your sins.
Man I'm so thin look at these scabs and these black bags under my eyes.
Thank god for these rhymes a new way to pass time.
When I'm not dead but not nearly alive.
Just want to get in my car and drive out of this life and into a brand new day.
But of course ill stay I got a personality to fake.
So I just try and convince myself that salvation is in these pills that I take.
So again I say goodbye to gravity and fall deep into the realms of insanity.
Where lost souls rejoice for the death of reality.
Just another statistical victim of this self induced anarchy.
We live in this hell and death is a fallacy.
Just an escape into a tortured infinity.
All I have left is this poetry and these blissful epiphanies expressed in ways which endeavour to save me from an ever repeating history.
So just sit back and have a drink with me.
Share this torment of being to free.
In a world where handshakes are as fake as the smiles we see on T.V.
Its dog eat dog and no one gives an ounce of pity.
A planet so populated but feels like an empty city.
So inject that junk into your veins.
fade into the night like another son or daughter which can't be replaced.
Another puppet of a vindictive ventriloquist called societies embrace.
And so as our decaying species draws closer to its dying days.
Over the blood stained hills we stare our lonely gaze.
Then our spirits leave our vessels feeling emotionally raped.
Cursed with the torment of finding their way free of this maze.
