Suffer The Consequences

Martha's a paragon of virtue,
yet she has little tolerance for gossip.
And with the spiteful wit of a prankster,
I'm feeling manipulated and led.

Sugar gives me gas so I shun candy,
preferring not to chance embarrassment.
Yet she stubbornly insists I try hers,
getting belligerent when I decline.

I regret spreading rumors about her,
as she persists I partake of this treat.
And feeling somewhat intimidated,
I agree to accept a modest piece.

She brags that her candy's taste is unique,
it's awfully sweet and yet delicious.
I'm feeling nauseosus in my stomach,
dreading trauma of intestinal crash.

Being aware of my predicament,
she giggles after each embracing f*rt.
For she figured out who's tongue was wagging,
and now I'm to pay the consequences.

Many of my poems reflect the uniqueness and special circumstances of my upbringing. more…
