The Book

Burn the book never to be able to read the final chapter
Dreams never to be fulfilled to remain just dreams
Life is a full circle
The circle will never be broken
Feel the power of the song
A soft knowing smile slips across my face briefly
Thunder growls in my ears
Lightning searches for me
Feel the wind tousle my hair
Pass me by untouched and unharmed
Wash away my tears
Your ugly heart burst forth like a time bomb exploding
Can your conscience keep quiet forever
Scars never to fade
Wounds never to heal
You know what you have done
Contributing to the horror of the world
I must travel on
Turbulent seas become calm
You should have touched me
As gentle as a lover's hand should
You will never know what love is
My time is coming
Turn the pages of the book the story stays the same
Forever wondering what was on the last page
