Evil rules this land
Nothing decent lives here now,
In this awful place.

Alien creatures
Come from far distant planets,
To conquer the Earth.

Alien beings
Wearing shining helmets on
Monstrous bulbous heads

DESPERATION (15/05/2021)
Desperation spreads
A low sobbing fills the night.
Horror haunts this town.

ENGINE OF DEATH (15/05/2021)
Machine-like screeching
Engine shrieks rising in pitch,
As death approaches.

FAR-FLUNG WORLDS (15/05/2021)
Far-flung worlds produce
Slithering ghostly beings,
Not vaguely human.

THE LIVING SEA (15/05/2021)
Hateful living sea
Swallows up the living,
Spits out lifeless corpses.

Houses eerie shrouded forms,
Evil lurks within.

An endless blackness
An omen of the future;
Evil approaching.

OMINOUS SHADOWS QUAVER
Ominous shadows quaver
And (growing larger!)
Reach out toward you.

ON A CRAGGY HILLTOP
Manlike creatures crouching
On a craggy hilltop,
Baying at the moon.

Hateful living tide
Takes away the innocent,
Gives back bloated things.

Warnings of madness
Overwhelming your senses;
Evil grows within.

PALE, GHOSTLY APPARITIONS
Strange phantoms lurk:
Pale, ghostly apparitions,
Hovering above you.

PHOSPHORESCENT IMAGES
Strange glowing images
Hover round unnamed headstones;
Frighten those who mourn.

THE PRANCING PUMA
Tread of a puma
Prancing lithely round your tent,
Stalking out its prey.

PRETERNATURAL AWARENESS
Preternatural
awareness: Sensing danger
lurking all around.

PREY
You are the prey of
A dark, hidden carnivore;
You’re a hunted man.

RELENTLESS PREDATORS (II)
Your life is haunted
By predators, relentless
In their hunt for you.

ROBESPIERRE’S REVENGE
Metallic squealing
Thunk of a guillotine blade,
Then a dreadful thud.

Evil secrets passed
Down the generations of
Those who stalk by night.

Evil capering figures,
Creeping up on you.

Seeds of dissension
Spread by Doubting Thomases,
Shattering our dreams.

Your fear peoples the
Shadows of the night, with
Demons that come to life.

SHADOWY DUNGEONS (15/05/2021)
Shadowy dungeons
Housing desolate creatures,
No longer human.

SHADOWY IMAGES SWIRL
Shadowy images
Swirling around your room,
Frighten you to death.

THE SINISTER ROOM
A sinister room
Beneath a crumbling mansion,
Wailing heard within.

A SKELETAL HAND PULLING
A skeletal hand
Is pulling on your ankle,
Yet, still you sleep on.

SKELETAL FINGERS
Skeletal fingers
Grasp you by the throat, squeezing
Till your life expires.

SKELETAL WARRIORS
Skeletal warriors
Risen from aeons’ sleep,
War against mankind.

SLENDER HANDS
Loathsome, slender hands
Gossamer filaments like
Tendrils of evil.

SLENDER NAILS
Evil, slender nails
Slashing across your face, slice
As deep as scalpels.

A SLOW DESCENT
Hideous shapes circling
Slowly descend toward,
Unsuspecting prey.

A SLUG NAMED MUGGSLY
A slug named Muggsly:
Slimy, crawling, bloated thing;
If only he’d die!

SNACK TIME (21/03/2009)
Unsuspecting prey
Writhing round in agony,
Demons feast on them.

SNAPPING JAWS
Snout-like noses above,
Gator-like snapping jaws,
Fill your heart with dread.

A SNARLING BEAST SUPS
A snarling beast sups
On throats brutally torn out;
Limbs savagely gnawed.

SNUFFLING IN THE DARK
Snuffling in the dark
Two large, black beasts on the scent:
Hunters stalking prey.

SOFT VOICES CALLING
In the dead of night
Soft voices whisper; calling you
As footsteps approach.

SONG OF THE SIREN
The sound of the night:
A siren’s sweet song of death,
Calls you to your doom.

SOULS LOCKED IN TORMENT (20/05/2010)
Souls locked in torment
Satan has his way with them;
Evil deeds paid for.

LOST SOULS IN TORMENT (III)
Wispy shapes swirling
Souls now lost to torment,
Evil being paid for.

SOULS LOST TO TORMENT
Souls lost forever
Tormented by memories,
By their evil youth.

SPECTRAL IMAGES
Spectral images
Spreading terror among us,
Fear torments our hearts.

SPECTRAL SHAPES
Spectral shapes flicker
In and out of your vision,
Death is on the way.

THE SPHINX
A giant sphinx lies
Telling you her riddles,
To help to pass the time.

THE SWARM (15/05/2021)
Dread living swarm
Of microscopic killers,
Devouring humans whole.

TERROR STRIKES HER HEART (15/05/221)
Troubled by an image:
Of a loathsome crawling thing,
Terror strikes her heart.

THIS IS RAGNAROK! (14/05/2021)
As the last star winks out
The Great Spirit thinks,
'So this is ragnarok!'

WASTED (15/05/2021)
Wasted ghostly haunt
Where nothing living lingers.
Dead things shamble round.
