Analysis of THE DARK RIDER
Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)
The dark rider roars through
The streets this evil night;
Spreading fear before him
Through the surly streets
The Dark Rider spreads terror,
Misery and death.
The ebony night
Helps to conceal his presence,
Until it's too late.
Riding down on prey
Through a loathsome dark night,
Nothing living dares move.
Street people shiver
At the sound of his Harley,
Terror roaring near.
Night walkers hurry
To escape back inside as,
The Dark Rider calls.
Spreading ample death
Along with despair and fear,
Even terror cries.
The Dark Rider visits
And even the bravest creep,
As he brings death.
