Analysis of Monster
A weight upon a weary mind, the clarity of sin
If foresight was a virtue find, insanity within
The dim light of a candle's flame, gently pulsing like a heart
Extinguished as the wick burns down it fades to blackest dark
And all the while a simple song, a symphony of tears
A life of heavy burdens held, she's wise beyond her years
A weighted chest, a shallow breath, a beat from deep inside
Her innocence lost long ago, slipped away with the sands of time
Another battle fought and lost, another war in vain
Another day of agony, despair but mostly pain
A head held high for far too long, a life gone far too young
All to free the world from seeing the monster she'd become
