Analysis of THE ICEMAN

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

Ice-breathing demons
Calling down a frozen Hell;
Freeze you to your soul.

Demons of the ice
Living within snow and sleet,
Chill you to the bone.

The Iceman passed through
Turning deserts to rivers,
The living to ice.

Oceans become ice
Deserts become oceans as,
The Ice Man appears.

he Iceman Cometh
Making ice statues from,
Living human beings.

The Ice Man is here
Freezing up desert regions,
Sending winter storms.

Turning people to ice
Turning deserts to oceans,
The Iceman's here.

Beautiful statues
Once live bathing beauties till,
The Iceman passed by.

Freezing people to death,
The Iceman slaughters,
Everything he detects.
