Analysis of Have You?
Have you ever been driving down the road with a million things on your mind,
thinking about how nice it would be just to get home and unwind?
Have you ever been driving down the road without a care in the world, only to suddenly catch a glimpse of a little boy or girl?
Have you ever failed to see a bus with its stop sign and flashing lights, and have you ever stopped to realize you could have taken a life?
Have you ever wondered how the bus driver feels?
Have you ever tried to understand?
Our job is to protect the children….their lives are in our hands.

About this poem
After many close calls while loading and unloading children, I wrote this poem to help bring awareness to the ongoing problem of drivers running school bus stop signs.
