Analysis of The Mumbai of my childhood!!!
Mumbai of my childhood was a dreamland Chaupati at every weekend we planned
The dance of the monkeys and bear
Girl walking on the tight rope without fear
We would love to eat Bhel puri and relish
The sugar candy and the view at Pali Hill
The City smelt of ocean and the mills
With dreamy eyed people the bus spills
We loved the Maska pav from Irani Chai
A treat to watch the big jars with the pie
The Marine drive was never to shun
Best double decker busses were fun
Watch Rajesh Khanna's car at the signal
Fans kissing his car, girls would giggle
The chawls, banglows of stars reckoning
The mad rush of people around swarming
Hippie trend, bell bottoms was at its peak
In drugs and music solace they would seek
A City that has seen all, a never die attitude
It never sleeps is of a great magnitude
A city full of my childhood memories
Of cherished moments and reveries
