Analysis of Unwanted Feelings

Udawna Strasburg 1968 (Spokane)

I don’t want to be broken
I don’t want to hurt
I don’t want these feelings
It makes me feel like dirt
When you were here
I wanted to take away your pain
But now that you’re gone
Things are insane
A lot of misunderstandings
And mistakes being made
Masks are on
It’s a masquerade
Wake me up
And make this nightmare end
Help me understand
Make me comprehend
Why you had to go
Why this had to be
Why you had to suffer
Please help me see
I pray for guidance
Health and strength
I’ll do what it takes
At any length
I won’t let go
I’ll keep you here
I won’t forget
You won’t disappear
Your memory will last
Forever in my heart
Even if it’s broken
And falling apart
I love you, mom
More than I can say
I’m sending you kisses
And hugs your way
