Analysis of Pain
Amber Byers 1984 (Angola Indiana)
This pain from within,
Is like a demon thats strippin,
Me from the love i was enjoyin,
Submersive it took me into recession,
So i could use these words as weapons,
Cause no one felt this pain,
Offset like a blade with blood down the drain,
It took a cut to only one vein,
To make an honest woman go insane,
Turned into abstract art in the brain,
Scatter brained like derailing a train,
But you still cant feel my pain
Most days I feel empty,
Like a version of me is a vase falling,
Till it hits the ground shattering,
For a moment the earth is quaking,
Like tears my fists are hitting,
My skin so i can be feeling,
The pain you had been causing,
No wonder i feel like a puddle of water,
Something people can walk over,
One step in and I scatter,
Looking for something i can splatter,
On till pain comes like a heater,
Evaporating into the air,
Then dropping bombs on O'Hare,
For a moment a jump scare,
When you open your eyes,
The pain is still there,
So before you see pain as my weakness,
Realize pain brings me happiness,
Cause I will learn to move on past pain,
Ill use it as my stength to keep going,
Again and again and again,
Thank you for this pain
