Analysis of NIGHT INVADERS

Evil night invaders
Invade your night and dreams,
Twisting, hacking, slaughtering
Until nothing is as it seems.

Night invaders hunting
Through dreams and through nightmares
Taking you to places that
The human mind can hardly bear.

Night invaders lurking
Nearby as the unwary dose,
Destroying the minds of sleeping folk
Tormenting their fragile repose.

Strange faces loom from the dark
Like foul, primordial creatures;
Driving even strong men mad
With twisted, running features.

Slowly night invaders
Creep into the land of the living,
Escaping Morpheus’s shores
To start a new beginning.

Like beings from a horror film
They invade your frightened mind,
To tear it down, or only scare
Depending on how they are inclined.

Monsters from a Neverland
That never should have come real,
Slinking slowly into your head
Your mind to cruelly steal.

Beings that were never real
And God would never countenance,
Slithering from real-world to dreams
From a nightmare manse:

From their home within your dreams
They lurch into our universe,
To trample good things underfoot
And to make all bad things worse.

Night invaders creeping slowly
Into your sleeping mind this night,
Hoping soon to terrify
Then to make you die of fright.

Night invaders beset you
In a mist of swirling faces,
Twisted, misshapen images
Of prehistoric nightmare races.
