Analysis of OUT OF THE SHADOWS

Out of the dark shadows
Steps impending death,
Foul abominations which
Can steal away your breath.

Out in the darkened night
Evil creatures slowly roam,
Hoping to catch the unwary
Far away from their safe home.

Neanderthal-like ape-men
Lurching through the village,
Hoping very soon to plunder
To rape, to maim, to pillage.

Quickly scaling to the rooftop
They enter a sleeping house,
Then despite their giant size
Creep around quietly as a mouse.

Ripping open bedroom doors
They rape all the sleeping women,
Killing children and animals
Eviscerating all of the men.

Then back out into the night
To storm around the streets,
Hunting, stalking, killing
Every living thing they meet.

Then as Darkfall does retreat
They slink away yet again,
To hide in caves outside the town
They use as their private den.
