Analysis of DEATH STREET

Nothing lives long on Death Street
It's a place where only losers go,
A place of broken promises
Where nothing good can ever grow.

A street of worthless dreams
Where nightmares do abound,
And hopes of love and happiness
Have long gone underground.

Death Street is the last abode
Of those whose lives have failed,
And when chances e'er came their way
Foolishly they quailed.

No-one moves into Death Street
Instead, they all move down,
To the direst part of the community
Of a long-ago thriving town.

Death Street is full of loners
Those who never took a chance,
Losers in both life and love
Those who never knew romance.

Death Street is the final place
That anyone will ever go,
Men without women, without men
Where only heartache grows.

THE END
