Analysis of NIGHT EVIL
Evil figures stalk
Dark recesses of your mind,
Using your fear to make their way
Into the world by night.
Night beings hover
Round your room and ‘bove your bed,
Waiting soon to claim your soul
And leave your body bled.
Night evil shatters
Your dreams of gentle times,
Night horrors traverse the depths
Of your frightened mind.
Wispy shadows swirling
Like demented dervishes,
And all the world is screaming
At least inside your head.
Nightmares are calling you
As fiends escape your dreams,
Night evil swamping you
To fill your mind with screams.
Silent screams are forming
On the corners of your mouth,
But desperately you hold them in
Afraid to let them out:
For when your screams resound
Deep into the winter night,
Night horrors can reap your soul
Until you die of fright.
Night terrors calling
And still, you are not listening,
And on your fevered brow
Beads of terror glistening.
Then into the horrid night
As you sense great evil,
Night crawlers gibber
Just like tormenting devils.
