Analysis of Trauma
There’s a scream inside me,
It moves around my mind,
It has hold of memories,
That I don’t want to find
Sometimes it gets behind my eyes,
With images clear and bright,
But I don’t want to look at them,
And push them out of sight
And when I least expect it,
Into my ears it sneaks,
And says forbidden things,
My voice could never speak
There’s a scream inside me,
It’s trying to get out,
It’s trying to get free,
It wants to take my sanity.
