Analysis of Relax; go with the flow

I saw the light above my head.
It was the plane flashing in red.
The sky was blue, and clouds fled,
I took the way the stars have led.
They were lined up in a row.
I blindly followed their glow.
Without rush, the time goes slow.
One says, “relax; go with the flow.”

About this poem

Khrystyna Pelchar is a graduate student at WVU. She came to Morgantown as an exchange student participating in a Dual-degree program in International History and Security studies with Poland Collegium Civitas. This fall, she's also started her PhD. in Political Science. Just two years ago, she started her master's in law in Ukraine and masters in International Relations in Poland. Before coming to the US to start her semester at WVU, she came to Ukraine to present her thesis, "On legal regulations and protection of subsoil use in Ukraine. " Many have criticized her decision not to start her legal career in Ukraine; others believed that studying abroad is a waste of money. She canceled her initial flight to the US. Depression and the feeling of the lost opportunity have not left since then. She could have stayed and wondered what might have happened. But instead, she booked another flight and came to Morgantown despite the travel ban and other restrictions due to the pandemic
